2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th August - Willowbank Wildlife Reserve

Join us at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve every Monday to help create a natural environment for rare and endangered New Zealand bird species such as the Kiwi, Takahe, blue duck, brown teal, white heron and weka.  Volunteers be weeding and planting natives in their pens to create a natural habitat for these bird species.  Bring your camera because you will see many more NZ animal species up close

 

31st July - Okains Bay Habitat Restoration

This project focuses on habitat restoration of Opara stream in Okains Bay, home to a wide variety of native birds.  Tasks will include tree planting, and weed releasing. 

 

2nd – 6th August - Waiuta Historical Restoration Project

Join CVNZ in restoring the historical gold mining town of Waiuta. Located in the Grey Valley 90km North of Greymouth this location is situated between the rugged mountains of the Paparoa Ranges and the Southern Alps and provides excellent views of the surrounding landscape. Also a great opportunity to explore the local area and learn about the History of early European Gold mining exploits on the West Coast.

 

23rd – 27th August - Punakaiki Coastal Restoration Project

Join Conservation Volunteers on an adventure along the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island. This project focuses on habitat restoration of coastal land adjacent to Paparoa National Park. Volunteers will help out with a variety of tasks in a stunning location- including tree planting, seed collection and removal of weeds. Punakaiki is home to the world-famous Pancake Rocks, and provides a wonderful opportunity to explore this unique coastal landscape.
